Life and Death

Well it’s been a while since I posted anything here. Not because I didn’t want to or because I’ve lost the will to take photographs but because I’ve been busy looking after my elderly parents. It’s been a tough six months.

I’ve been living in a limbo between my home in Surrey, England and my parents home in Glasgow, Scotland…two weeks here, two weeks there. They had both been unwell and in need of full time care. Things are a bit calmer now though as my mother has moved to live with us in England. Unfortunately my father died from his illness just before Christmas. I’m not a religious person but I wonder if his passing and the funeral were on my mind when I took this shot on my first trip back to Glasgow since the funeral. I call it, walk to the light.

I hadn’t read the post when I first saw the photo. I agree with James, the words and image bounce off each other perfectly.
