iPhoneography Day, Glasgow

Last Sunday I was present for the UK’s first iPhoneography day at an Apple Store. The guys at Glasgow’s Buchanan Street branch set it up and invited me to take part and do a couple of short presentations throughout the day. With lovely weather and  a great location it turned out to be a great day all round.

The Apple store staff did a series of presentations about how the iphone camera works along with iPhoto before they handed over to myself and Smittyboy to talk a little about our methods of working and favourite apps. Then everyone was dispatched to go take some photo’s for a few hours then come back to edit them and get a handful ready for critical appraisal by each other. Considering the wide level of experience present in the delegates (non iphone users to DSLR wielding amateurs) the end results from everyone were pretty fantastic. There were several images I’d loved to have taken myself.

To keep in the spirit of things I too went out and took some shots. Here is the first. more to come tomorrow
